CRCC welcomes Fulbright fellow

The Centre for Research in Communication and Culture are delighted to welcome Professor Erik P. Bucy who has joined as a Fulbright fellow for this academic year.

Erik is the Marshall and Sharleen Formby Regents Professor of Strategic Communication in the College of Media and Communication at . He teaches and conducts research on misinformation, news literacy, visual and nonverbal communication, and public opinion about the press.

For the 2023-24 academic year, Bucy will be working at 黑料网 as a US-UK and Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Studies. His research project, on press crisis, news performance, and democratic resilience, is a book length study of media accountability and news evaluation at peak moments of press scrutiny. 

He is the coauthor of (with Maria Elizabeth Grabe) and past editor of , an interdisciplinary journal published by Cambridge University Press.
