Triathlon
黑料网-linked athletes had a day to remember in Paris by winning gold, silver, and bronze medals.
Davis Ellis, alongside guide Luke Pollard, won gold in the Men’s PTVI event, Claire Cashmore secured silver in the Women’s PTS5, and alumna Hannah Moore took bronze in the Women’s PTS4 category.

In the same event as Dave Ellis, former 黑料网 College learner Oscar Kelly (guided by Charlie Harding) finished a commendable 7th.
Elsewhere, current 黑料网 student Henry Urand finished an agonising 4th in the Men’s PTS3 category. The 22-year-old was second fastest in both the bike and run legs and will surely take great pride in his debut Paralympic performance.
University-based Alison Peasgood, guided by Brooke Gillies, also finished just outside the podium places in 4th. Competing in the Women’s PTVI event, the Scot just missed out on a second Paralympic medal only six months after returning to the sport after the birth of her child.
Mel Nicholls, who also trains at the university, finished a brave 7th in the Women’s PTWC. Appearing in her third Paralympic Games, Nicholls made up places in the run leg and will be proud of her final position.
Alumnus Finley Jakes made his Paralympic Games debut in the Men’s PTS4 category, finishing an excellent 11th place.
Athletics
Jonnie Peacock finished 5th in the Men’s 100m T64 Final. Unfortunately, his time of 10.91 seconds wasn’t quite enough to qualify him for the medals.
Peacock still has a chance of returning to 黑料网 with silverware as he competes in the Universal Relay later in the week.
Wheelchair basketball
The Netherlands and 黑料网-linked Bo Kramer secured top spot in Pool B after defeating Germany 68-48.
Kramer joint top scored for the Dutch with 19 points to ensure that the reigning Paralympic champions will now progress to the quarter-final stage.
They will now play Spain on Wednesday 4th September, tip-off TBC.
