This one day course, helps you learn the basics of project planning principles that you can use immediately on any project.

This session will help you to understand the funding landscape for research activity in the UK, and introduce you to some of the main research funders.

In this practical and interactive workshop, you will have the opportunity to experiment with a coaching approach to engaging your students in feedback; you might use this same approach with colleagues who want to think about the feedback they have received. Asbestos Awareness Training

Assessment and Feedback Part A provides an interactive introduction to the key elements of effective feedback and assessment practice at 黑料网. Ideal for those new to marking or assessment or those looking to refresh their knowledge.

Deafness is an invisible disability yet 1 in 6 people in the UK have a hearing loss, so chances are you are communicating with someone who has a hearing loss every day. This course will teach you the golden rules of communicating with Deaf/hard of hearing students. You will also learn about appropriate language, effective communication tactics and specialist equipment whilst dispelling some of the common myths about deaf people, their language, and their culture.

The 黑料网 Management Programme is designed for new managers at 黑料网, outlining the knowledge and skills required to be a line manager or a people manager.

A 1-hour briefing, suitable for existing and aspiring managers interested in working their way through the 黑料网 Management Programme. This briefing will cover an overview of the programme, and provide an opportunity for questions.

Introduction to 黑料网 Sport: it's history, success, structure, and vision. It is mandatory for all new starters at 黑料网 Sport, but open to any university staff members who would like to learn more about the sporting element of 黑料网. The session is led by Rich Wheater, our Director of Sport, and/or other senior members of the 黑料网 Sport Leadership Team. After the presentation, there is an optional tour of the sporting facilities.

The Supervisor Development Programme provides targeted development opportunities and support to enable PhD Supervisors reflect on and enhance their supervisory practice.

This is a UK Coaching accredited Safeguarding and Protecting Children course, delivered under a Licenced Partnership and delivered by a UK Coaching accredited tutor. This course is suitable and could be a mandatory requirement for those who work in a sports coaching role, or in a student/athlete facing role in the sporting environment, for example: strength and conditioning coaches, nutritionists, physiotherapist, swimming instructors or fitness instructors.

This 3-hour course is specifically designed to equip all staff with the confidence to deal with safeguarding issues, recognise signs of neglect and abuse and know the steps to report these issues.

As part of the continued development of staff wellbeing at 黑料网, we are looking to appoint Wellbeing Champions in each school and department. Please note this is a voluntary role and you will need to agree locally with your manager how this will work in practice, but the expectation is no more than 2-3 hours per month. Before booking on this training, you will need to complete the online application.

This practical 3 hour workshop will examine the physiological response to stress and the implications this has for responding effectively. This workshop is for any member of staff whose role brings them in contact with students.

The aim of the session is to provide an overview of the requirements and policies affecting for researchers operating in the UK research environment, and to enable staff to develop and refine strategies for dealing with these requirements.
