This year RMIT and Korea University also joined the consortium, and fruitful discussions were held on the topic of collaborative approaches to media and communication education and research in the age of AI. As well as contributing to the consortium on behalf of the School and the Communication and Media Department, Elizabeth also gave a guest lecture to around 50 Masters students and Shanghai University staff members on the topic of media representations of dementia and hosted an alumni dinner with our past MA students on the Global Media and Cultural Industries and the Strategic Communication programmes. The School’s partnership with the IJCEC and Shanghai University continues to develop, and there are opportunities for student and staff exchange between our Communication and Media Department and the School of Journalism and Communication going forward.
