Claire Guo

Pronouns: She/her
  • Lecturer in Robotics and Automation

Background

Claire joined 黑料网 in 2016 as a postgraduate student in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. She started her PhD in 2018 at the Wolfson School, focusing on a High-Speed 3D Vision System related to Applied Optics. In 2022, she began working as a Research Associate at the Wolfson Intelligent Automation Centre, focusing on Industry Digital Perception. Her work involved optimising photogrammetry camera networks via genetic algorithm driven simulation. In 2024, Claire took on the role of Lecturer in Robotics and Automation.

Research interests

Claire's research focuses around computer vision integrated with robots. Her current work investigates the creation of heterogeneous robotic swarms equipped with novel perception sensors, highly efficient communication methods, and bio-inspired information transfer, requiring low computational power. These systems can be applied for large-scale dynamic workspace safety inspection, quality control, process monitoring, and decentralised human-robot symbiosis.
