The exhibition will be open throughout February 2025 in the Martin Hall Gallery, as part of our LGBT+ History Month celebrations.
We are looking for artefacts, memorabilia and artwork from staff and students on both of our campuses, to be displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition looks to explore how narratives and conversations within the LGBT+/queer community have changed - and continue to change. How has language developed within and about the LGBT+ community? How have narratives changed, on a personal, political or social level? How have we developed or reclaimed our own narratives – and how much work is still left to do? We invite students and staff to contribute to the exhibition, sharing their stories and experiences.
This is not limited to traditional pieces. We welcome artwork of any media, memorabilia, personal items, stories. We will try to accommodate all submissions - although this is partly dependent on the size and quantity of submissions). The items can be collected at the end of the exhibition.
Please complete the form below to express your interest in submitting a piece to this exhibition. Submission proposals should be received by Friday 29 November. Proposals may be submitted anonymously if you prefer.
If you have any questions, please contact the LGBT+ Staff Network.
