Casa Las Monjas, is a unique living experience in one of the colonial houses in historic centro of World Cultural Heritage San Miguel de Allende.

When entering from the typical narrow street you find an unusual open-air hallway with an arched brick "boveda" ceiling.

This hallway leads you past the downstairs queen-bed guest room

with its amazing tiled shower and carved stone sink in its en-suite bathroom. The bedroom also has a corner fireplace, TV and beautiful bed linens.

The hallway continues up a few steps and into the central "great room" of the house,

including living room, dining area and kitchen.

Outside the French doors from the living room is a charming "sala abierta" — or covered open-air terrace with sitting area and fireplace.

This terrace looks out upon the central patio with its beautiful fountain and tropical landscaping.

On the ground level of Casa Las Monjas is a perfect little powder room, tiled from floor to ceiling in striking red tiles and accented by a stone pedestal sink.

Upstairs is the master suite, complete with "his" and "her" bathrooms decorated with lovely local tilework, a separate sitting / TV room with leather loungers and fireplace and the king-bed bedroom with yet another carved limestone fireplace. This room has doors opening to two Juliette balconies that overlook the central patio.

On the second floor you are greeted by another guest room/studio and a beautiful full bathroom, a separate office with desk where guests can connect their laptops to a high-speed wireless internet, and a small roof terrace with two lounge chairs with a western vista of the beautiful San Miguel de Allende sunsets.
