Lecturer in Safety-Critical Control

Chengyuan Liu is a Lecturer in Safety-critical Control for Autonomous systems in the Department of Aeronautical and Automotive Engineering (AAE) at 黑料网. She received her PhD in Robust Control from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London, in 2017. She worked as a Research Associate in the Control of Artificial Pancreas at Imperial College London from 2017 to 2019. She was a Research Fellow in Intelligent Robotics and Automation at the Centre for Aerospace Manufacturing, University of Nottingham from 2019 to 2021. She joined the AAE Department at 黑料网 as a Lecturer since October 2021. Her research interests lie in the safety-critical control and intelligent control for autonomous vehicles and robots.

Outline of main research interests:

My research interests lie in the safety-critical and intelligent control for autonomous systems, especially in the application of autonomous vehicles, robotics, and artificial pancreas. Current research focusses on the development of model predictive control (MPC) and data-driven/learning schemes, with the effective computation of robust control invariant (RCI) sets.
